The Best Christmas present EVER!!!

The newest addition to our family showed up 3 weeks early on December 19, 2011. Trek Jordan Whitesides was born at 7:30pm and weighed 6lbs 5oz and was 19 inches long. He is so sweet and we love him to pieces. I had been contracting the whole night before and the whole morning but I had been having some preterm labor for a couple of months and these contractions didn't seem any different than the others I had been having so I didn't think anything of it. That morning I ran a bunch of errands and then went into my normally scheduled doctors appt. I had been telling everybody that I was having the baby before Christmas and nobody but my doctor believed me. Jokes on them! When I went into the doctor I asked her if she was ready to have a baby this week. She smiled and said well let's see if that's a possiblity. She checked me and then said " I'm about to make your day. You need to go the the hospital." I was dilated to a 6 already. Who knew? So I went home and woke up Tyson (he was supposed to work that night) and packed a bag (I was planning on doing that that night.) and we headed to the hospital. On the way to the hospital the contractions started to hurt. We got to the hospital around 2:30. I got an epidural around 3:30 and Dr. Boheen came and broke my water at about 5. Right after she broke my water she checked me and I was at an 8.5. I had done all of that on my own. No pitocin or anything. CRAZY! Little Trek was born a couple of hours later. He is seriously such a good baby and if we could get the sleeping thing down I'd say he's pretty much perfect. What a great Christmas present for us!
