We'd Like to Welcome Pratt Wood Whitesides to the World! And our Family!!!

Pratt was born February 19th at 2:42 p.m. after about 6 hours of labor. He weighed in at 6lbs 8oz and was 18 1/2 inches long. He is the most amazing thing I've ever done with my life. It's amazing something so little can bring that much love. We are so enjoying this new experience! Tyson is such a proud papa. The doctor said it was more fun watching him than watching me and the baby during delivery. He was in awe of everything. We head home on Saturday but all is well and the baby is perfect. Thanks to everyone for all of their love and support throughout this entire pregnancy. We love you all!

Can't Wait!!!

Tomorrow is the BIG day. At 7am I am being induced and we will have a new baby boy sometime later that day. I can't wait! Not only to not be pregnant anymore but to meet our new little one. The last couple of days I've been feeling prelabor and thought maybe it was real labor so I went in to get checked this morning at the doctors office. She said that it's pre labor and she'd probably still just see me in the morning but there's a chance that I could go before then. Either way it's not too much longer to wait.

Baby Update!

We went to the doctor yesterday and it looks like I've dilated another centimeter. We set an induction date for the 19th. That means I'm gonna be a mom by next Thursday! AHHH!! Exciting and scary at the same time. She said I may go before then but said that nothing really good happens to a baby after 39 weeks. They just get bigger and can have more problems when they are delivered. So she recommended I be induced if he hasn't come before then since I'm looking like I'm ready. So that's the newest news. Pretty crazy! We'll let you know if anything happens!

Baby Shower #3! THANKS MOM!!!

This book is so cute. I can't wait to read it to our little boy.

So my mom threw me my last baby shower on January 31st with people from the ward I grew up in and a few others. It was so much fun to see so many people I hadn't seen for awhile that really helped raise me. It was such a great shower and people are so generous. My mom told one person that what we really needed were big ticket items like a crib so if they wanted to just give some money that would probably help a lot. That person got my mom's list of people she invited and called everyone. One of my gifts was a little barbie crib filled with money. I couldn't believe it. There was enough there for us to get a crib, a mattress, and the bedding. We went on Monday and picked everything out. Once the babies room is all put together I'll post a few pics. Thanks to everyone! You don't know how much your generosity and love mean to Tyson and I. We love you all!!!
